Beer Brewing Information
United Canadian Malt
supplies all of our brewing ingredients.
Beer Kits are supplied by RJ Spagnols, Vineco International ABC Cork and Cooper's.
How long does it take and what do I do?
The brewing process takes 1 to 2 hours to complete (dependent upon recipe), and is quite simple. an instructional sheet and trained staff are always available to guide you. After a few "kicks" at the can you will feel like a Brewmaster. After a couple of weeks (two) you would then return to the facility where you would bottle your product (a 1/2 to 1 hour process).

What does it cost and how much do I get?
Due to our large extent of products we are able to offer you the best products and prices in Brant County. Our pricing structure is as follows:
Beer Ingredients + Service fee ($55 + GST) = selling price
Note: the service fee fluctuates due to the type of beer that you produce most beers that you would make have the $50.00 service fee.
If you buy the beer ingredients off of us we offer a 15% discount off the price of the kit and service fee. (You can bring in your own beer ingredients (subject to approval) and use our facility to brew it up and just pay the service fee if you desire.) Our pricing can range from an approximate low of $85.00 all the way up to $100.00 depending on the type of product you brew. You will get approximately 45 to 48 liters per batch ( approx. 5.5 cases of 341ml bottles).
Are there any other costs involved?
At BYO we believe that you should only pay for what you use and as such we do not include any other costs in our prices (i.e. caps, labels ect.) this way we can keep our prices more reasonable.
Following is a listing of some of our “sundry” items.
500ml Amber "pet" bottles - $0.45 per bottle
1liter Amber "pet" bottles - $0.55 per bottle
"Pet" caps - $0.03 each
How long will before I can drink it and how long will it last?
You can drink your beer as soon as you get it home. After you get your beer home you should place it in the fridge. Light and heat can turn your beer very quickly as there are no preservatives in your product.
